Installation Instructions

The DVD Image is the same for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Below, please find brief instructions on how to burn or use the DVD image on each platforms. See the Installation Guide for detailed instructions.

Windows 7

Right-click on the DVD image and select Open with... and then Windows Disc Image Burner. Follow the on-screen instructions to burn the image to a disc.

Windows 8 and later

In Windows 8 and later you have the additional option of directly mounting the DVD image instead of burning to a disc. Simply right-click on the DVD image and select Mount, and continue directly with the installation.

Note: LiveLink™ for Excel^® requires Microsoft^® Excel^® 2007, 2010, 2013, or 2016 to be installed prior to installing COMSOL. When installing for use with Excel 2007, do not select 'Install LiveLink for Excel for all users' under the Select Installation Option.
