Installation Instructions
The DVD Image is the same for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Below, please find brief instructions on how to burn or use the DVD image on each platforms. See the Installation Guide for detailed instructions.

Windows 7
Right-click on the DVD image and select Open with... and then Windows Disc Image Burner. Follow the on-screen instructions to burn the image to a disc.
Windows 8 and later
In Windows 8 and later you have the additional option of directly mounting the DVD image instead of burning to a disc. Simply right-click on the DVD image and select Mount, and continue directly with the installation.
Note: LiveLink™ for Excel® requires Microsoft® Excel® 2007, 2010, 2013, or 2016 to be installed prior to installing COMSOL. When installing for use with Excel 2007, do not select 'Install LiveLink for Excel for all users' under the Select Installation Option.

Disk Utility (located in Applications/Utilities) can be used to burn the DVD image to disc or mount it directly.
After opening Disk Utility, If the disk image you want to use doesn't appear in the list, drag its icon to the Disk Utility window. Select the disk image and click Burn or Mount. Follow the on-screen instructions.
There are a number of tools you can use to burn a DVD image on Linux. Check your distribution for the proper tool to use.
Alternatively, you can mount the DVD image directly using this command:
mount -o loop COMSOL52a_dvd.iso /mnt
